What are Yahaira Fajas? (Our Review)
The popular Shop Yahaira brand gained their fame through their fajas and body shapers, which they still offer today. A faja is a popular Colombian garment/ wrap that is normally used after liposuction or a BBL, to aid in recovery. With more women choosing to get surgery for that ideal shape, Yahaira’s faja’s quickly rose to stardom because it was a necessity.
But how do these shapers actually work for the majority of women who have not been surgically enhanced? Though their fajas may have been great for the postoperative healing process, are they effective for women who want to waist train and workout? These are questions that you have to ask before you add to cart and checkout.
As the popularity of Yahaira’s fajas increased, so did their range of products. They have moved from providing fajas for post-op, to selling waist trainers, corsets, under, swimwear and lots of shapewear. Their range of products are supposed to give you that hourglass shape despite your weight, and lift your butt at the same time.
While that sounds great, do their products actually do what they claim to?
Similar claims as other Waist Training brands
Take a quick look at the Shop Yahaira Instagram page and you’ll see countless celebrities and influencers telling you how amazing the shapewear has worked for them. They boast of slim waistlines, being able to fit into smaller dresses and weight loss, but are these actually claims made by the Shop Yahaira brand?
If you listen closely to their promotional videos, you’ll hear that they make very similar claims to other waist training brands on the market. Firstly, their products are supposed to provide excellent abdominal support and cinch the waist, with over 3 different levels of tummy control. This should help with trimming the waist, and making your stomach appear slimmer.
This compression, paired with their bra attachment to prevent the shapewear from rolling down is one of the reasons that they claim the product works so well. This same waist trimmer is claimed to be great for working out, as it has silicone lining strips on the leg portion of the garment. This should prevent it from riding up during vigorous exercise.
Over 30 different styles
The company offers over 30 different styles of their signature Happy Butt No. 7 shapewear, and prides themselves on having something for every woman. A quick scroll through their website will show you the products advertised on models with different weights, heights, sizes and body types.
They offer three main colors, beige, black and mocha, with a few of their products being available in a classic bright red. So how do these claims compare to the Luxx Curves range of body shapers, waist trainers and other products? There are a few things we noticed when comparing the two.
Firstly, even though Shop Yahaira has over 30 different styles, none of those styles provide the variety that the waist trainers at Luxx Curves provide. This is simply because they have clearly designed the same product in sample sizes with small additions, like sleeves or knee length. Luxx Curves waist trainers on the other hand, are actually created with the clients in mind, and give a range of short, medium and long torso trainers to its audience.
While it is not over 30 different styles, it is 3 main options that everyone can measure their body, and will be sure they are able to fall into, which is much more variety than the same product in a different way.
Waist Trimming Properties
Shop Yahaira claims that their products actually slims the core while flattening the upper, middle and lower abdomen, much like the way a waist trainer works. Upon researching this product though, we realized that they were not promising any long-term effect on the waist, but just an illusion created by wearing the shapewear.
But that’s the same effect produced by every other shapewear on the market, whereas Luxx Curves trainers promote more long term results. One significant benefit that we can identify with the Shop Yahaira line of shapewear is that they were definitely created with comfort in mind, at least based on their Instagram reels. Having a bra attachment as well as silicone lining strips to prevent the shapewear from moving is a great idea for comfort. It is especially great for those who want to workout in their shapewear without worrying that it is going to roll down.
For those who are not looking for shapewear, but want to perfect their posture by using a traditional corset, the Shop Yahaira corset may spring to mind. One of the reasons why Victorian corsets were so popular, is that they not only provided the ideal S shape that the women were going for, but they were great at making the waist look slimmer even after the corset was taken off.
While we have ditched the constricting steel bone of the Victorian era, modern corsets still need to be constructed with durable and long lasting materials that do their job of holding everything in place. The corsets at Shop Yahaira appear to be well made, but there is no actual detailing on the site regarding the base of its construction.

“I ordered their Waist Cincher happy but no7 triple layer on feb 1st, I followed the directions listed and used their size chart to accurately get my size. I payed $150 for it and felt confident with my purchase BECAUSE I used their size chart and when I received it yesterday this gave my *** an extremely unattractive look and the straps make my shoulders hurt even though I've adjusted them. I've worn cinchers before and their sizing is way off. It barely fits on the last hooks.” - Reviewer from the Better Business Bureau
